![]() Sebetto Nears FAST Championship Repeat With Attica Win; Markham Gets First Late Model Victory; Ivy Tames FAST 305 Sprints; Roepke Earns Truck WinBy Brian Liskai
![]() FAST 410 Sprints - Bryan Sebetto #24H Chaney’s fast pace would put him into heavy traffic by the fifth circuit, allowing Gressman to close with Sebetto, Heller, Martin, Jacobs and Haudenschild in tow. Chaney would jump the cushion in turns three and four trying to battle through lapped traffic on lap six, and would spin in turn four, handing the lead to Gressman with Sebetto now second followed by Heller, Martin, Jacobs and Haudenschild. The car on the move was 18th starter Brian Smith, who had moved up to 10th. Gressman and Sebetto would run nose to tail when the green re-appeared with Martin grabbing third. Sebetto would execute the perfect slide job on lap 10 to take the lead as the caution would then fly for Chaney who stopped on the back stretch, ending his night. All hell broke loose on the ensuing restart as Sebetto rocked away, Martin tried a slide job on Gressman exiting turn four and there was slight contact with Martin getting sideways, hitting Gressman who made contact with Haudenschild, sending Gressman and Haudenschild flipping down the front stretch. The restart order was now Sebetto, Martin, Heller, Jacobs, Smith, Philo, Byron Reed, Chris Andrews, who started 13th, and Stuart Brubaker, who started 20th. The race would go caution free the remaining 19 laps. Sebetto would use the clear track to pull away, but his quick pace would have him into very heavy lapped traffic at the half-way point, allowing Martin to close with Heller trying to hold off Smith for third. Sebetto’s patience would pay off as he cleared the traffic and again pulled away from Martin as Smith took third on lap 18 followed by Heller, Jacobs, Andrews, Philo, Reed, Brubaker and Craig Mintz. While Sebetto and Martin went unchallenged up front, the action from third through seventh was fantastic. Andrews would take third from Smith on lap 25 and was closing on Martin, but ran out of time. Sebetto would take the win over Martin, Andrews, Smith and Jacobs. “I tried getting off the top down here (in turn four) one time and they (lapped cars) just drove away from me. So I just had to follow them down here and make my moves in one and two. There was a little strip of moisture I could run in getting into one and run it in hard enough to slide them,” said Sebetto. “ Knoxville was an eye-opener last week. We had a rough week…couldn’t catch a break, but we learned a lot and it showed. We came back here and right back up front we are.” ![]() Summit UMP Late Models - Ryan Markham #5M The first of two cautions of the event flew on lap six for a Matt Irey spin with the running order Kingseed, Mike Bores, John Bores, Markham, Scott, Krummert, Perkins, Ryan Missler (up from his 16th starting spot) and Ky Harper. On the restart, Mike Bores would drive under Kingseed to take the lead, but Kingseed, Markham, Krummert and Scott would race to his outside and right on his rear bumper. John Bores would spin off turn four on lap 10 to bring out the final caution. On the ensuing restart, Kingseed would drive back by Bores for the lead and a lap later Markham drove around both to take the top spot. With 10 laps to go, Markham began to open up his lead while the crowd was entertained with the battle for second between, Kingseed, Mike Bores, Scott, Krummert and Missler. Mike Bores would finally take second on lap 16 with Kingseed, Scott and Krummert still locked in a fierce battle for third. That battle would continue the rest of the race. Markham would drive to the checkered with Bores holding off Krummert the final two laps for second while Scott and Missler would round out the top five. ![]() FAST 305 Sprints - John Ivy #8I Reeser and Polyak would race side by side for the lead over the first five laps before Polyak would take the top spot on lap six with Weaver and Ivy locked in a good battle for third. The first of only two cautions in the event would fly on lap six for a tangle involving Jeremy Duposki, Matt Merrill and Mike Dussel. On the restart, Polyak would pull away from Reeser while Ivy, Weaver and Foos would battle for second. Ivy would take the runner-up spot on lap nine with Weaver and Foos continuing to pressure. Ivy would race under Polyak on lap 13 and would take the lead on lap 14. Just as the leaders were set to hit heavy lapped traffic, Zack Kramer would stop on the back stretch to bring out the final caution on lap 15. Now with a clear track, Ivy would pull away slightly over Polyak who had her hands full with Weaver and Foos. Weaver would actually take second on lap 16, but Polyak would retake the spot a lap later. With three laps to go, Polyak had caught Ivy and race to his inside in turns one and two. But, Ivy would drive back under to retain the lead in the next corner and then hit his marks perfectly the final two circuits for the win. Polyak, Weaver, Foos and Stroup would round out the top five in a very entertaining race. ![]() BMS Dirt Trucks - Dan Roepke Jr. #88 After another lap was complete, Kent Brewer would bring out the caution on lap four, just as Dustin Keegan and Roepke were racing with Siferd for the lead. As Roepke drove under Siferd for the lead, Keegan and Siferd would make contact, sending Siferd spinning with Keegan being sent to the tail for rough driving. On the restart Roepke would pull away from Cline, Roelle, Andy Keegan and Ball. As Roepke raced into lapped traffic with five laps to go, Roelle took second from Cline. Another caution would fly as Darrin Basinger got crossed up as the leaders were working to lap him, collecting Brian Sorg. Roelle would go pit side to change a flat tire. With a clear track, Roepke would pull away as Cline ran second with Ball, Andy Keegan, Brian Arnold and Brad Mitten in tow. As Roepke exited turn four for the checkered, Cline would spin in turn four, collecting several trucks as Ball, Andy Keegan, Mitten and Brian Melnek Jr. would round out the top five.
