Attica Raceway Park Set For 2009 Opener On Friday

(Attica, OH) The racing action will heat up and take away the winter chill as Attica Raceway Park opens for the 2009 season on Friday, March 27 featuring the 410 sprints, Fremont Fence 305 sprints and Fultz Fabrications and Speed Shop UMP Late Models.

The weather forecast for the 22nd season opener at "Ohio's Finest Racing" speedplant on Columbus Equipment Night calls for partly sunny skies and temperatures in the 60s throughout the day and into the 40s at night.

Race fans should take note, gates will open at 5 p.m., and racing has been moved up to 7:45 p.m. General admission tickets are $14 for adults; $12 for senior citizens; $10 for children ages 11-15; and children 10 and under get in free. Pit passes are $25.

There is a rain date scheduled for Saturday, March 28 (gates open at 4 p.m. with racing underway at 7:30 p.m.)
