Image(Attica, OH) The World of Outlaws head to Ohio and Michigan this weekend to compete at a pair of tracks for the only time this season.

Attica Raceway Park will host the Kistler Engines Classic on Friday, which will be the Outlaws lone stop at the high-banked, third-mile oval known to slick off.

Here are some thoughts about the stiff competition and the challenging track conditions from some of the full-time World of Outlaws drivers:

Cody Darrah (Red Lion, PA)
“Besides Pennsylvania, that’s the toughest place we go to for locals. Ohio, it’s always really tough to go in there and race against those guys at their tracks. To really adequate yourself to those slick conditions is really tough. It’s always something I look forward to as a challenge to go there.”

Craig Dollansky (Elk River, MN)
“No matter what it always seems pretty racy. Usually it does slicken off to a point there and it gets a decent top around it, and you can run through the middle, run the bottom … definitely some good racing that goes on there.”

Chad Kemenah (Findlay, OH) “We always look forward to racing Attica. I grew up racing there – stock cars and then sprint cars. We’ve got quite a few fans that follow us around the area, so hopefully we can go back there and get a good run.”

Kraig Kinser (Bloomington, IN) “It’s definitely a tough track. You’ve got to get a good draw and get started good in the heat races because there are a lot of good cars there.”

Steve Kinser (Bloomington, IN)
“We enjoy going there and racing. It’s always a good track to race on feature time.”

Kerry Madsen (St. Marys, New South Wales, Australia)
“The locals around the Attica area are extremely tough and run very good at Attica. It’s quite a unique track and I’m sure the locals are looking forward to us coming.”

Bill Rose (Plainfield, IN)
“They definitely have got some really tough guys running on a weekly basis. It’s just like when you go to Knoxville or you go to Pennsylvania, they’re just as tough like that on their local weekend shows.”

Joey Saldana (Brownsburg, IN) “Back when I started racing I used to run with the All Stars and Attica was a major stop for them. Attica always puts a good show on. Their locals are very tough. It's just like going to Knoxville or Williams Grove. They definitely know how to put a challenge on for the Outlaws.”

Sammy Swindell (Germantown, TN)
“It’s tough there. They’ll have a good group of cars there that has run that track quite a bit more than we have, so it’ll be a challenge.”

Lucas Wolfe (Mechanicsburg, PA) “Certainly Attica is one of the toughest races of the year. It’s definitely always very competitive – a lot of good local cars, especially good ones that run on those types of tracks. It’s a lot of fun when they get the place right, so I’m definitely looking forward to our trip back there to Ohio.”
