ImageLess than a week till opening night at "Ohio's Finest Racing" speed plant! The track's staff has been hard at work prepping the track and the facilities at ARP in preperation for the race fans and race teams arrival on Columbus Equipment Night on Friday, March 30th.

They have been busy rolling the parking lots and pit area, finishing up any painting, getting the concessions ready and hanging sponsor billboards.

Racing begins with the O’Reilly Auto Parts 410 Sprints, Summit Racing Equipment UMP DIRTcar Late Models and Fremont Fence Company 305 Sprints. Gates open at 5 p.m. with racing at 7:45 p.m. If needed a rain date has been set for Saturday, March 31st with gates opening at 4 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m.

The track sits idle for just one more week until Columbus Equipment Night at "Ohio's Finest Racing" speed plant kicks off the 2012 season.
Soon exciting racing action will return to the 1/3-mile clay oval.
Brandon "Pork Chop" Smith starts to groom the 1/3-mile clay oval back into racing shape.
"Pork Chop" works towards the end result of producing a smooth racing surface that race teams and fans have grown accustomed too which produces multiple grooves of racing.
Ten loads of stone have been dumped across the pit area in prepartion for the team's haulers parking and unloading their race cars for the first time this season.
The stone will provide the race team's a better surface to park their rigs and work on their cars especially if we get some rain leading up to opening night.
