The conclusion of a wet and soggy Ohio Sprint Speedweek makes way for the return of the Kistler Racing Products Fremont/Attica Sprint Title (F.A.S.T.) Championship Series presented by Engine Pro & PAC Valve Springs this weekend. This double header of 410 sprint car racing in Northern Ohio will be a telling sign of who has their sights set on hoisting the Kistler Cup trophy and the big check in September with the $10,000 winner's share of the series' point fund. The championship points battle between Bryan Sebetto, Byron Reed and Dean Jacobs will be rekindled as only 26-points separate the three heading into the Independence Day Weekend.

The consistency of the top three drivers in F.A.S.T. Kistler Cup points is staggering. Reed and Sebetto both share a pair of wins at Fremont Speedway and all three competitors have at least five top-5 finishes a piece. The determining factoring in Sebetto's lead is the fact that the driver of the Burmeister Racing #16 has yet to finish outside of the top-10 and has an average finish of 3rd in feature events. Reed has only finished outside of the top-5 once, which was due to mechanical troubles at Attica on June 3rd.  The B&S Racing #5 settled for a 16th place finish resulting in an average feature finish of 4th. Jacobs isn't far off with an average finish of 5th place. Jacobs has also been the runner-up in the last two victories for Reed and Sebetto at Fremont and surely will be a factor before the weekend is over.

Phil Gressman, who won the last F.A.S.T. feature at Attica Raceway Park, sits in 4th place ahead of Kevin Lee who has been charging up the point standings thanks to three straight top-10 finishes - including a season best 4th place finish at Fremont Speedway where he was also the KSE Steering Hard Charger.

Several other teams look to carry over their momentum from Ohio Sprint Speedweek like Hot Shot Engine Heater F.A.S.T. Rookie of the Year Contender Brad Bowman. The Shelby, Ohio native picked up his first career top-5 finish in a 410 sprint car at Sharon Speedway and will look to charge ahead over the hot summer months ahead. Fellow Hot Shot rookie contender Brad Haudenschild is rebuilding after a disastrous crash at the tight 1/4-mile bullring of Limaland Motorsports Park. Brad was able to walk away from the accident unscathed, but was left with a bent frame and flipping through the pages of part catalogs in order to return to action this weekend. "B-Haud" will be seeking redemption has the Fredericksburg, Ohio native fell out of the top-5 in F.A.S.T. points for the first time this season after engine troubles plagued the team in mid-June. Haudenschild currently has a 129-point lead over Bowman for the rookie of the year honors.

Friday, July 1st is fan appreciation night at Attica Raceway Park with general admission set at only $10! Four divisions will be in action highlighted by the Kistler Racing Products F.A.S.T. Series 410 sprints doing battle at the 1/3-mile clay oval for just the third time due to Mother Nature's unwillingness to cooperate. Gates open at 5 pm with racing slated for 7:45 pm. Attention turns to Fremont Speedway on Saturday, July 2nd for mid-season championship night at "The Track That Action Built." Gates open at 4 pm with racing at 7 pm.

The championship series has leaned heavily in the favor of drivers who excel at Fremont Speedway as 5 of the 7 feature events ran to date have been at the 1/3-mile Sandusky County speed plant. The remaining 11 events feature 6 races at Attica Raceway Park and 5 at Fremont Speedway with three more $3,000 to win events still on the horizon for the Fremont/Attica Sprint Title.
