(Attica, OH) With temperatures forecast in the 30's falling into the 20's by night, coupled with rain, freezing rain and snow showers, Attica Raceway Park officials have postponed the 2011 season opener until Friday, April 1st with a rain date of Saturday, April 2nd.

"We had the track ready to go as of Wednesday morning, but with more rain, mixed with sleet and snow in the forecast over the next two days and temperatures only in the upper 30's by Friday and Saturday, we have decided to wait another week," said Attica Promoter John Bores.

"Ohio's Finest Racing" speed plant will open the gates on Friday, April 1st at 5 p.m. for Columbus Equipment/Northern Ohio Truck Center Night featuring the O'Reilly Auto Part 410 Sprints; Fremont Fence 305 Sprints and Fultz Fabrications and Speed Shop UMP Late Models. Racing will get under way at 7:45 p.m. If the opening night is moved to Saturday, April 2nd, gates will open at 4 p.m. with racing underway at 7 p.m.
