A forecast of very cold temperatures mixed with rain has prompted the cancellation of racing for opening night Friday, March 26th at Attica Raceway Park. “Ohio’s Finest Racing” speedplant will open its 2010 season on Friday, April 2nd with the 410 winged sprints, Fultz Fabrications & Speed Shop UMP DIRTcar Late Models and Fremont Fence 305 sprints in action on Northern Ohio Truck Center Night. There is a rain date for Saturday, April 3rd!

“The forecast called for temperatures in the 20s with a strong northeast wind and we just didn’t want to put our great fans and race teams through that. Our teams spend a lot of time and money on their equipment and it’s just not worth risking all,” said Attica Operations Director Rex LeJeune.

Gates will open next Friday at 5 p.m. with racing underway at 7:45 p.m.

And coming Friday and Saturday, April 9th and 10th, the HD Supply Spring Nationals featuring the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champion Sprint Cars. The UMP Late Models join the sprints on Friday with the 305 sprints on the card Saturday.
