The World of Outlaws continue their swing through the Midwest with a pair of races on bullrings this weekend. First on the docket, is the recently revamped  Attica  Raceway  Park in Ohio on Friday, April 20. After an overnight journey southeast, the series will wrap up the weekend at the high-banked Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Indiana on Saturday, April 21. This will be the series first event at Attica  Raceway  Park since 2005. Last season the event fell to rain, while at Tri-State Speedway last April, Craig Dollansky powered his way to the win, which was one of two victories in the state of  Indiana on 1/4-mile tracks for him in 2006. 

On Friday, April 20 pit gates will open at 3:30 p.m., with grandstand gates opening at  4:30 p.m., with hot laps set for  5:45 p.m. Racing starts at 8:00 p.m.

Attica  Raceway Park is located Northeast of State Road 4 & US 224 in  Attica,  Ohio. From this intersection drive 1/4-mile north on Route 4 to Lemmon Street, then travel 3/4-miles east to the Attica Fairgrounds.

On Friday April 20, general admission tickets for adults will be $28, with reserved tickets $30 ($2.00 for credit card). General admission tickets for children ages 8-15 are $15, 7 & Under will be admitted free of charge. A Pit Pass will be $35.

Attica  Raceway  Park is a 1/3-mile banked clay oval. The track record of 11.306 seconds was set by Butch Schroeder in 1998. More Track Info

The win list includes: Joey Saldana (February 23 at Thunderbowl Raceway, March 17 at Pike County Speedway, March 24 at Volunteer Speedway, and March 31 at Dixie Speedway), Donny Schatz (February 9 at Volusia Speedway Park, March 3 at Manzanita Speedway, and March 16 at Houston Raceway Park), Tim Kaeding (February 24 at Thunderbowl Raceway), Steve Kinser (March 2 at USA Race Park), Danny Lasoski (April 6 at Paducah International Raceway), Kerry Madsen (February 10 at Volusia Speedway Park), Jason Meyers (April 13 at Eldora Speedway), and Daryn Pittman (February 11 at Volusia Speedway Park).
Attica  Raceway  Park is a high-banked 1/3 -mile oval. The World of Outlaws have raced twice this season on a track that size. The winners include: Tim Kaeding (Thunderbowl Raceway) and Joey Saldana (Thunderbowl Raceway).

Highlights: Jason Meyers became the eighth different driver to win an A-Feature event this season, after he took the checkered flag at Eldora Speedway on Friday night. With his win, Meyers vaulted into the Top-10 in series championship points for the first time this season… Joey Saldana & Donny Schatz are the only drivers to have 12 Top-10 finishes in the first 13 events this season. Schatz, the reigning series champion is the only driver with 10 Top-Five finishes. They are separated by four points in the championship standings, with Saldana leading… Craig Dollansky & Jason Solwold remain the only two drivers that have transferred to every A-Feature from their heat race this season… Jac Haudenschild jumped into the ninth position in points, after his fourth-place finish at Eldora… Thirteen different drivers have earned B-Main victories so far in 2007 in just as many events… To date, 100 drivers have attempted to qualify for at least one World of Outlaws event this season.

Up Next: The month of April closes out with the first of two visits to the famed Knoxville Raceway in  Iowa on Saturday, April 28. On May 4, the series heads to the recently reconfigured 3/8-mile Tri-City Speedway in  Illinois. The following night the best sprint car drivers in the world will tackle Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas for the first time in over 25 years. A pair of races in the Show-Me State of Missouri follows, with a trip to US 36 Raceway on Friday, May 11 followed by a stop a stop at Lake Ozark Speedway the following night Saturday, May 12.
