Attica Raceway Park Offers Entertaining 2007 Schedule PDF Print E-mail

To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Attica Raceway Park, "Ohio's Finest Racing" venue will undertake one of the most exciting and diverse schedules in its history.

"Whether you're a fan of winged sprint cars, late models or dirt trucks, our schedule has what you want," said ARP Promoter John Bores.

"Thanks to our sponsors and business partners, this schedule offers a wide variety of good-paying shows for our teams and affordable admission prices for our fans," said Rex LeJeune, ARP Operations Manager. "The total payout is over $550,000 for the 23-race schedule. Besides the World of Outlaw Sprints, the 360 OTC World of Outlaw Late Models , the O'Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions and the American Late Model Series , our week program of 410 and 305 sprints and Attica Late Models and dirt trucks provide some of the best racing you'll find anywhere."

Attica Raceway Park is also excited to announce World Auto Parts of Huron, Ohio, as the sponsor of the 410 sprint division. They join Fultz Fabrication & Speed Shop , which sponsors the Attica Late Model division in 2007.

ImageAlso, all sprint cars - World Auto Parts 410 Sprints and the 305 Sprints - will be required to run Schoenfeld Mufflers this season in addition to the Hoosier right rear spec tire.

"Ohio's Finest Racing" kicks off the Ohio racing season on Friday, March 30, as HD Supply Night - a division of Home Depot - features the World Auto Parts of Huron 410 Sprints, the 305 sprints, and the Fultz Fabrication & Speed Shop Attica Late Models. The raindate is Saturday, March 31.

The racing action heats up quickly with a busy month of April at Attica. The O'Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions pay a visit for the traditional Coors Light Sprint Nationals on Friday and Saturday, April 6 and 7. The Fultz Fabrication & Speed Shop Attica Late Models are on the racing card on Friday, while the 305 sprints are in action on Saturday.

Then on Saturday, April 14, Quality Welding presents the first of three shows for the American Late Model Series, with the 305 sprints and the first of 15 nights of competition for the dirt trucks.

Kistler Engines presents the World of Outlaw Sprints on Friday, April 20, with a $53,000 purse offering $10,000 to win.

Following Burger King/Scouts Night on Friday, April 27 (410 sprints, 305 sprints and Attica Late Models), Underground Utilities Inc. and Bazell Race Fuels team up for a special night for the Fultz Fabrication & Speed Shop Late Models on Friday, May 4. The ARP Lates will be competing for $1,000 to win, with the regular program of World Auto Parts 410 Sprints, 305 sprints and dirt trucks.

World Auto Parts Night on Friday, May 11, features the 410 sprints, 305 sprints, Attica Late Models and dirt trucks, with the same divisions in competition on Friday, May 18 for Fisher Performance Night.

Fultz Fabrication & Speed Shop Night - Friday, May 25 - features the second visit by the ALMS late models, along with the World Auto Parts 410 Sprints.

Burns Electric Night features the 410 sprints, 305 sprints, Attica Late Models and dirt trucks in action on Friday, June 1.

Friday, June 8, is a special night of competition for the 305 sprints as the Second Annual 305 Sprint Engine Builders Challenge takes place on Budweiser Night, paying the feature winner $1,200. The 410 sprints, Attica Late Models and dirt trucks will also be in action.

Strawberry Hill Farm Market Night is a salute to the fans, with just $10 general admission on Friday, June 15. The pit gates will be opened prior to racing action for fans to meet their favorite drivers competing in the 410 sprints, 305 sprints, Attica Late Models and dirt trucks.

The final appearance of 2007 at Attica for the ALMS Late Models will take place on Friday, June 22, on Wynn's/Service Drive Solutions Night. The 305 sprints and dirt trucks are also in action.

Attica Raceway Park will kick off the 25th anniversary of the Ohio All Star Sprint Speedweek on Sunday, June 24, as Pepsi Night also features the Attica Late Models.

Racing action resumes on Friday, July 6 as all four divisions are in competition on R&R Auto Wrecking Night. UUI Family Fun Night ($10 general admission) is Friday, July 13 with the Attica Late Models competing for $1,000 to win, as the 305 sprints and dirt trucks join the racing card.

Attica Raceway Park will celebrate Christmas in July on Smith Family Frosted Foods Night, Friday, July 20 with all four divisions in action.

The 360 OTC World of Outlaw Late Models will pay their first ever visit to "Ohio's Finest Racing" venue on Wednesday, July 25 as part of their speedweek Over $30,000 is in the purse with $7,000 going to the winner.

Legendz Sports Bar and Grill Night will feature all four divisions on Friday, Aug. 3, with the track shutting down Aug. 10 for the Attica Independent Fair. The racing resumes on Saturday, Aug. 18 as World Auto Parts sponsors Past Champions Night with all four divisions in action.

Kistler Engines Season Championship Night is Saturday, Aug. 25. with all four divisions in action along with the vintage race cars in exhibition.

The season wraps up on Saturday, Sept. 1, with the O'Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions in town on Baumann Auto Group Night, along with the Attica Late Models and the dirt trucks.

Gates open for the weekly races at 5 p.m. with racing slated to get underway at 8 p.m. For races held on Saturdays and Sundays, gates will open at 4:30 p.m. with racing at 7:30 p.m.

Attica Racway Park is located in the Attica Fairgrounds, just east of St. Rt. 4 and north of U.S. 224 in Attica.
