Daryn Pitman, Joey Saldana, Paul McMahan. Donny Schatz, Sammy Swindell, Brad Sweet & the rest of the World of Outlaws invade "Ohio's Finest Racing" speed plant to take on our tough local contingent with $10,000 on the line!

Also in action will be the Summit Racing Equipment UMP DIRTcar Late Models making this one of the must see events in Northern Ohio!

MARKING YOUR SEATS: After the races on Friday, May 16th, you can mark your seats prior to the event by taping plastic or blankets down to the bleachers and marking them with "Outlaws - May 30th" with a Sharpie. You cannot just put tape directly on the bleacher (it will be removed prior to the event).

STADIUM CHAIR POLICY: No stadium chairs with backs will be allowed in for special events for the courtesy of those sitting around you.

COOLER POLICY: No coolers permitted over 14-inches.

ALCOHOL POLICY: Ohio Revised Code 4301.62 prohibits the carry in or carry out of alcoholic beverages. All coolers will be inspected for compliance to this law. For those fans over the age 21, alcohol can be purchased inside the track gates. 

CAMPING INFORMATION: Space for RV and tent camping is available. There is limited availablity for electric hook-ups. Electric hook-up is available for $10 per day.

Mintz Leads FAST Stars Into "Ohio's Finest Racing" Speed Plant PDF Print E-mail

(Attica, OH) Every event on the schedule for the Kistler Racing Products FAST (Fremont Attica Sprint Title) Championship Series presented by KS Sales and Service is big. But, maybe none more than this coming weekend and it kicks off Friday, May 16th at Attica Raceway Park on American Powersports of Findlay and Sandusky/ Tiffin Paper Company Night.

Attica Raceway Park will host the Eric Phillips 26th Anniversary Classic paying the O’Reilly Auto Parts 410 Sprint feature winner $3,000. The event honors the first promoter of “Ohio’s Finest Racing” speedplant, the late Eric Phillips.

It is also a JLH General Contractors 305 FAST Series presented by Engine Pro points night at Attica for the Foster’s Auto Body 305 Sprints. The Summit Racing Equipment UMP Late Models will also be on the racing card.

The FAST series pays a separate point fund from both Fremont Speedway and Attica Raceway Park. The FAST 410 sprint champion will earn $10,000 at year’s end while the 305 sprint FAST champion will earn $2,000.

Defending Attica track champion Craig Mintz picked up his first win of the season last week. The two-time FAST champion comes into Attica leading the FAST points by just 3 markers over Caleb Griffith and just 10 points ahead of former Attica champion Chris Andrews. Six time Attica champion Byron Reed, a former FAST champion, sits fourth in the FAST standings while former Attica rookie of the year Stuart Brubaker is fifth followed by former two time FAST champion Bryan Sebetto, Brian Lay, Jody Keegan, Travis Philo and Stuart Williams. Griffith is the only driver in the top 10 in points with a FAST win in 2014.

In the 305 FAST series points, John Ivy leads the points by 15 markers over Steve Rando. Ivy has 2 wins at Attica this season including a FAST victory. Jordan Ryan, who has yet to finish out of the top four at Attica this season, is third followed by Jimmy Colvin who has one FAST win, Dustin Dinan, Alvin Roepke, Seth Schneider, Tyler Gunn, Bobby Clark and 3 time Attica champion Nate Dussel.

The Attica point standings are also very close with Mintz, who has won the last two straight track titles, leading Caleb Griffith by just 3 points with Andrews only 9 points back in the 410 sprints. Jody Keegan, Travis Philo, Duane Zablocki, Brian Lay, Brad Bowman, Stuart Williams and Dain Naida round out the top 10.   In the late model standings, Ryan Markham’s two wins have him leading Jeff Babock – who also has two wins – by 20 points. Chris Keller, Matt Irey, Devin Shiels, Mike Bores, Cody Scott, Ky Harper, Jeremy Canada and John Bores round out the top 10.

In the 305 sprint standings John Ivy’s two wins have him atop the list by just two points over Jordan Ryan while Nate Dussel’s two wins have him in third. Rounding out the top 10 are Jimmy Colvin, Steve Rando, Bobby Clark, Jason Keckler, Seth Schneider and Paul Weaver.

Attica Raceway Park will close out the month of May with the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Cars on Kistler Engines Classic Night, Friday, May 30th. It is "The Salute to the King" as Steve Kinser is competing in his final season with the series. Reserved seats are on sale by going to www.atticaracewaypark.com

ImageThis Friday on Sutton Bank/ Fisher Performance/ Columbus Equipment Night we are allowing any Boy or Girl Scout, as well as Scout Leaders, who are in uniform FREE admission to witness the O'Reilly Auto Parts 410 Sprints, Summit Racing Equipment UMP DIRTcar Late Models and Foster Auto Body 305 Sprints on the banks of Attica Raceway Park!
 
There will be no qualifications this week. All classes will run under traditional ARP procedures.
 
Adult general admission is $15.00, Seniors $13.00, Ages 11-15 are $10.00, Kids 10-and-under are FREE. Pit passes are $30.00.
 
Gates open at 5 pm with racing to start at 7:45 pm.

After the opening weekend of the inaugural Attica Raceway Park & NAPA Wayne County Speedway Late Model Challenge Series, Wooster, Ohio's Doug Drown holds a slim 2-point lead in the point standings thanks to a pair of podium finishes. Saturday night's feature winner Ryan Markham sits in second place with JR Gentry, Jeremy Canada and Larry Kingseed rounding out the top-5.

Attica Raceway Park & Wayne County Speedway Late Model Challenge Series Begins This Weekend PDF Print E-mail

Everything is set for the much anticipated eight race Attica Raceway Park and NAPA Wayne County Speedway Late Model Challenge Series that starts next Friday, May 2 at Attica Raceway Park and continue the next evening at NAPA Wayne County Speedway.  

The Series will pick back up again on Saturday, May 24th at the 3/8 oval of NAPA WCS and then return to ARP on Friday, June 20th. A double Weekend is on tap for Friday, July 11th (Attica) and Saturday, July 12th (WCS). If a driver can win both those nights, he will pick up a bonus of $1000. The last race at NAPA Wayne County Speedway will be on Saturday, August 8th while the final race for the series will be on the 1/3 oval of Attica Raceway Park on Saturday, August 30th.  

Each feature winner will get $1500 with second place collecting $750, 3rd $550, 4th $450, 5th $400, 6th, $350, 7th $300, 8th $275, 9th $250, 10th $225 and 11th through 20th is $200, Cars that do not transfer out of the B main will get $70 at ARP and $60 at WCS.

There will be a $10 entry fee for each race. Other nightly awards will be a Fultz Fabrication Gift Card of $50 to the feature winner while second will get a $25 Gift Card and third place will get a $20 Gift Card providing each car has a Fultz Fabrication sticker on their car. The highest finishing car on Hoosier Tires (Hoosier LM 20 or harder) will get a free tire while American Racer (44 or harder) will give a free tire to the highest finisher on their tire. The Hard Charger award is sponsored by VP Fuels and the driver improving the most positions from his starting spot will receive 5 gallons of racing fuel.  

The Attica Raceway Park and NAPA Wayne County Late Model Series Champion will Pocket $1500 and a $200 Fultz Fabrication Gift Card. Runner up in the series will get $750, 3rd $550, 4th $450 and 5th place will get $400 as each driver must run all eight races. The top ten in the points will all receive $100 Gift Cards to Summit Racing. Also Innovative Graphics will award a $250 credit for a wrap on their car to the driver who wins the most heat races in the series.  

With some of the best Late Model drivers in state of Ohio and drivers that have wins at both tracks, this should be a highly competitive Series with the likes of Missler, Markham, Schlenk, Drown, Henry, Duncan, or Babcock. Will it be one of them or someone else…time will tell.  

Winners at Attica Raceway Park so far in 2014 include Ryan Markham, Jeff Babcock and Doug Drown. Markham opened the NAPA Wayne County Speedway season this past Saturday with a win.
