Mark your calendars for the return of the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series, Ohio Sprint Speedweek, the DIRTcar Summer Nationals "Hell Tour" and Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series to "Ohio's Finest Racing" speed plant in 2014!

The rest of the 2014 schedule is still in the works and will be released at a later date, but dirt track racing action returns to Northern Ohio on Friday, March 28th!

Mintz, Missler, Dussel, Keegan Crowned Attica Raceway Park Champions For 2013

Attica Raceway Park fans and race teams helped put an explanation point on the 25th anniversary season of “ Ohio ’s Finest Racing” speedplant at a gala banquet that crowned the track’s four champions and celebrated the rest of the top 10 in points.
Gibsonburg , Ohio ’s Craig Mintz wrapped up his second straight Attica championship in the O’Reilly Auto Parts 410 sprints. The 2013 Kistler Racing Products FAST champion competed in 14 events in 2013, missing only the Aug. 30 All Star show. Craig scored his 9th career Attica win on July 5. He recorded an incredible 11 top 10 finishes and 8 top five runs. Besides his win, he recorded four runner-up finishes! His average feature finishing position was seventh.
In the Summit Racing Equipment UMP Late Models, Bellevue , Ohio ’s Ryan Missler scored an unprecedented fifth consecutive Attica championship. Ryan competed in all 15 features in 2013. Ryan recorded 10 top 10 finishes and six top five runs. He scored his 10th career late model win on the season’s final night. Ryan also scored three runner-up finishes. His average feature finishing position was ninth.
Bradner , Ohio ’s Nate Dussel scored his third straight track championship in the Foster’s Auto Body 305 Sprints. Nate, who was among the nation’s top sprint car drivers in terms of feature wins in 2013, competed in all 13 feature events in 2013. Take out his 20th place finish in the 360-305 challenge race and he never finished worse than seventh! Nate recorded 10 top five finishes including six wins – that’s nearly half of the features he competed in! Nate now has 11 career wins at Attica to move him into a tie for 11th on the track’s all-time win list. His average feature finishing position was fourth.
In the Bob’s Machine Shop-BMS Engines Dirt Trucks, Fremont, Ohio’s Dustin Keegan claimed his first ever track championship – by just a point.  Dustin competed in all 9 events in 2013 and NEVER finished out of the top six! He recorded four runner-up finishes. Dustin’s average feature finishing position was fourth.
Attica Promoter John Bores announced all the major sanctioning bodies that competed at the track in 2013 will be back in 2014. He added the track crew is looking at addressing lighting issues around the track’s back stretch and more clay has been brought in.

Attica Raceway Park To Honor Race Teams At Awards Banquet

(Attica, OH) Attica Raceway Park will wrap up its 25th Anniversary Season by rewarding the top 10 race teams in the season’s points in all four divisions at a gala banquet on Friday, November 22 at the banquet hall in the Attica Fairgrounds.

Doors for the event will open at 5:30 p.m. with a buffet dinner at 6 p.m. followed by the awards ceremony which will honor the top 10 in points in all four divisions.

Tickets are $25 each and must be obtained from Rex LeJeune, Director of Operations at ARP. Teams may call LeJeune at 419-680-5606 to obtain tickets and he will also have them available at the Racer's Swap Meet at the Sandusky County Fairgrounds in Fremont on October 26. There will be no tickets sold at the door the night of the banquet and the deadline for tickets is Monday, November 18.

Drivers must attend the banquet to receive point fund money.

The top 10 in points in the O’Reilly Auto Parts 410 sprints were: 1. Craig Mintz; 2. Caleb Griffith; 3. Chris Andrews; 4. Travis Philo; 5. D.J. Foos; 6. Byron Reed; 7. Duane Zablocki; 8. Brian Lay; 9. Stuart Brubaker; 10. Brian Smith. Foos will also be honored as the 2013 Rookie of the Year.

The top 10 in points in the Summit Racing Equipment UMP Late Models were: 1. Ryan Missler; 2. Cody Scott; 3. Matt Irey; 4. Mike Bores; 5. John Mayes Jr.; 6. Tim Sabo; 7. Nate Potts; 8. Larry Kingseed and John Bores;10. Ken Hahn. Josh Haynes will be honored as the 2013 Rookie of the Year.

The top 10 in points in the Foster Auto Body 305 Sprints were: 1. Nate Dussel; 2. Dustin Dinan; 3. Jordan Ryan; 4. Tyler Gunn and Seth Schneider; 6. Jason Keckler; 7. Ricky Peterson; 8. Dan Hammond; 9. Jess Stiger; 10. Jeremy Duposki. Peterson will also be honored as the Rookie of the Year for 2013.

The top 10 in points for the Bob’s Machine Shop Dirt Trucks were: 1. Dustin Keegan; 2. Dan Roepke; 3. Kyle Cline; 4. Brian Sorg; 5. Art Ball; 6. Eric Devanna; 7. Tony Siferd and Dana Frey; 9. Curt Inks; and 10. Keith Sorg.

Off-Season Face Lift Starts At "Ohio's Finest Racing" Speed Plant

ImageRacing excitement at Attica Raceway Park has concluded, but off-season work has just started around the Attica Fairgrounds.

The track crew has just got done with putting a fresh coat of paint on the cement barriers around the outside of the backstretch.
