(Orrville, OH) Being consistently good will go a long way in winning championship’s and that was the key for Ashland’s Ryan Markham as he takes the crown for the Attica Raceway Park and NAPA Wayne County Speedway’s Late Model Series. Starting the opening week-end with a fourth place finish on May 2nd in Attica and his only series win the next night at NAPA WCS, Markham would take the points lead for good following his second place finish on May 24th at the Orrville speedplant. With finishes of sixth, fourth, 15th and third in the last four races to go along with his four heat race wins, which earned him the Innovative Graphics Award for most heat race wins, no one could challenge Markham for the title and the $1500 and $200 Fultz Fabrication Gift Card.

Mike Bores’ second place finish on the last night edged him past Shane McLoughlin for second place in the series by just two points. McLoughlin finished 13th in the last feature to finish third in the points. Both Bores and McLoughlin recorded feature wins in the series but both also did not make a feature.

Larry Kingseed missed the next to last race of the series but still ended up fourth in the points with a best finish of third in the series. Missing the opening week-end, Keith Berner won the last two features to grab the fifth position in points.
Filling out the top ten were Matt Irey, John Bores, Doug Drown, Ryan Missler and JR Gentry.

Drivers will receive their awards at their home track awards banquet.

Thanks to Fultz Fabrication ( $50 feature winner, $25, 2nd and $20 for 3rd), Hoosier Tire (highest finisher on Hoosiers), American Racer (highest finisher on American Racer), VP Fuels Hard Charger Award and Summit Racing.
